Love. Art. Smart mission — Where art becomes action

Q&A – Christina Black Edition & City of Light

Everything you may want to understand about the brand, the City of Light program, the financial and CSR philosophy, the technology behind our artworks, and the people who build it.

A. BASICS – WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

Christina Black Edition — Love. Art. Smart Mission. Where art becomes action.

Christina Black Edition is an art ecosystem that creates limited-edition, individually numbered, chip-secured artworks, and connects the long-term proceeds of that ecosystem to renewable and income-producing assets such as solar parks and real estate.

That connection is what lets us say our artworks keep “producing energy” — and that the value created over time is directed toward humanitarian work. Our aim is not only a better world, but a wiser one.

Christina Black Edition is the overall brand — the umbrella that covers everything we do: the City of Light program, the EcoDigital program, our collector and investor art collections, and our music and visual universe.

Within the brand there are two main pillars:

  • Corporate ecosystem — City of Light (physical rotating artworks on company walls) and EcoDigital (a digital / hybrid entry level). Here, companies subscribe to an art-rental program.
  • Collectors / investors / auction houses — here we offer unique, limited-edition artworks for those with a long-term collector and investor mindset.

So City of Light is the corporate program inside Christina Black Edition, while Christina Black Edition itself is the full universe and philosophy.

We are a married couple who are, at the same time, visionaries, company directors, artists, innovators and free thinkers.

We design and build multi-dimensional systems that connect art, technology, investment and humanitarian thinking — at an international scale. At the deepest level, what drives us is a genuine interest in how to give people real, long-term help: not as a campaign, but as a lifelong system.

Christina Black Edition and the City of Light program are international by design. On the corporate side, we roll the program out city by city:

  • in each city we place unique, numbered, chip-secured artworks at participating companies,
  • and those artworks rotate every two months, forming what is intended to become the city’s largest travelling exhibition.

A city opens for a given size when 300 companies have applied for that size: a city’s physical rotation starts once 300 companies have signed up for one format — either the large pieces (140×80 cm) or the medium pieces (70×40 cm). When a company applies, it indicates which format it is registering for: small, large, or both. Every new city receives its own dedicated limited series, registered in the Chip&Check platform, with optional NFT records on multiple blockchains.

We are also developing the EcoDigital program — a digital entry level being built alongside the Budapest launch — so that a company will be able to join the ecosystem before its city reaches the threshold for physical City of Light. EcoDigital will offer a framed OLED display with a unique, chip-secured plaque and QR code, registered in the Chip&Check system. Until it goes live, interested companies can join the waiting list, and we will open EcoDigital access in order of sign-up. Our goal is to build this network across hundreds of cities on multiple continents.

In short: any company that loves art and takes long-term social responsibility seriously. There is no restriction on size or industry — SMEs, large corporations, service firms, banks, consultancies, tech companies, medical practices and office buildings can all join, as long as the organisation wants a more inspiring environment and wants its people and visitors to feel proud that the company is doing something real for society and the environment.

The artwork fills the space visually, and the plaque beneath it — title, QR code, logo, message — shows what the company stands for and opens its CSR story with a single scan. Our ideal partner doesn’t just want to tick the CSR box; it wants to be part of a system where art, energy and humanitarian impact come together.

City of Light is a city-based corporate art and CSR program.

  • A city opens once 300 companies have applied for a given artwork size (the large or the medium format).
  • Each participating company hosts a Christina Black artwork on its office wall.
  • The artworks rotate every two months between companies, creating a continuously moving, city-wide exhibition.
  • Companies pay a monthly subscription fee that funds the art program; the proceeds remaining after costs are directed, over time, into renewable energy and other income-producing assets.

You receive a unique, chip-secured Christina Black artwork on your office wall, replaced with a new piece every two months. With it, you become part of a growing, internationally ambitious moving art exhibition that you can actively use in your brand and CSR communication.

At the same time, the proceeds of the program are, over time, directed by us into investments intended to fund long-term humanitarian and environmental impact — a mission you become connected to as a partner.

It is a service. What your company pays for, and what your company receives, is clearly defined: the rental of authenticated artworks, plus the brand value, visual experience, PR and CSR positioning that come with them. Your fee is the price of that service — not a financial contribution into an investment scheme, and not a donation.

Separately, and as the founders, we choose to direct the long-term proceeds of the ecosystem toward renewable assets and humanitarian work. That mission is ours; you support it by being a partner in the program, but your company is not buying a financial product and is not promised any financial return.

B. FINANCIAL MODEL, COMMITMENT & CSR PHILOSOPHY

First, the fee covers the real operating, production and logistics costs of the program — artworks, framing, shipping and the platform. The portion that remains after costs is directed, over time, by us into renewable energy (such as solar parks) and other income-producing assets.

As more cities join, fixed costs are spread more widely, so a larger share can flow into those long-term assets and into the humanitarian impact they are meant to support.

Rather than simply consuming what the system generates, we use it to build long-term assets and impact. A significant portion of any returns is reinvested, so over time it is not only the companies’ fees that grow the ecosystem, but the returns themselves — that is the compound-interest effect. The more cities and companies that join, the faster the underlying green and humanitarian impact can grow. This describes our intended model and not a guaranteed financial outcome.

The basic participation period is 12 months, and the agreement renews automatically each year.

  • On joining, a company pays an initial two-month fee, covering the start of the period.
  • From the third month, the monthly fee is charged on the 5th of each month, for as long as the company participates.

Cancellation window: each year, between 1 and 15 October, a company can indicate that it does not wish to continue into the next year. This gives us time to reorganise the rotation and to bring new companies in from the waiting list, so the system continues smoothly and without gaps.

The program is designed to place minimal burden on your organisation. At the start, about 30 minutes is enough for someone on your team to set up the dashboard — company data, logo and messaging, and your chosen CSR focus areas.

After that, your only recurring task is to coordinate with your Christina Black Edition ambassador when the bi-monthly rotation comes up; the ambassador delivers and swaps the artworks. Communication happens by email or directly through the dashboard. You don’t need a dedicated person — one contact who knows when the new artwork arrives, where it goes, and who lets the ambassador in is enough.

The model is built around an annual commitment, and we usually work with companies that can plan at least 12 months ahead. If something genuinely unexpected happens, we ask the company to contact our support team, and we look for a fair, mutually acceptable solution on a case-by-case basis. The specific terms are always those set out in your agreement. Our goal is to keep the system stable while remaining human and flexible toward circumstances no one could foresee.

We provide regular updates and overviews on how many cities and companies have joined, which artworks and projects are running, the directions we are investing in, and the humanitarian and environmental projects we support. The aim isn’t to bury you in accounting spreadsheets, but to make it clear that you are part of a growing art + energy + CSR ecosystem and to show real progress over time.

Because the model spans many cities, is designed for many years, and uses several types of assets whose ratios shift over time — so a single fixed percentage for one year would be misleading rather than transparent.

What we can state clearly is the principle we hold ourselves to: the system is built so that, over its lifetime, a meaningful and growing share of the proceeds after costs is directed toward humanitarian and environmental impact rather than extracted as short-term profit. As a corporate partner, you’re welcome to ask for a deeper view of the structure in a private conversation. In our public communication, the direction and principles matter more than a frozen spreadsheet.

Many traditional models look like this: money goes out, a logo appears on a page, perhaps a picture goes on a wall — done. Christina Black Edition is built differently, as an art–energy–CSR system.

We don’t use the proceeds for personal enrichment. Instead, after costs, they are directed into renewable, income-producing assets such as solar parks, real estate and other long-term holdings. From the cash flow those assets are intended to generate, a large portion is reinvested into new income-generating assets (the compound-interest idea), and a significant share — our standing intention is around 30% — is directed toward humanitarian projects, a figure that we expect to grow in absolute terms as the system grows.

The aim is to be able to continue the mission even through slower or harder times, because the underlying assets can generate value on their own. As long as the model works as intended — fees, new partners, and reinvested returns together — it is designed for compounding growth. These are our goals and intentions for the model, not guarantees of financial performance.

We are inspired by both worlds, but our structure operates through for-profit companies established in several countries. The difference is in intent: we don’t treat profit as a dividend pool to extract, but as the engine for long-term investment and humanitarian impact.

For your company, this means you are working with a professional, international service provider driven by an artistic mission and a sense of social responsibility — and that your relationship with us is, and remains, a service relationship.

C. PROGRAM FORMATS – CITY, PHYSICAL / DIGITAL, PRACTICAL DETAILS

Yes. Christina Black Edition is built so you can join even before your city has a full physical City of Light rotation, through the EcoDigital format — a digital entry level we are developing alongside the Budapest launch. EcoDigital will offer a framed OLED display with a unique, chip-secured plaque and QR code, registered in the Chip&Check system.

Until EcoDigital goes live, you can join the waiting list, and we open access in order of sign-up. This works in two situations: if you are a Budapest company that didn’t make it into the physical 300, you can register for EcoDigital; and if you are in another city, you can sign up too — when your city reaches 300 applications for a given size, we open that city for the physical program as well.

Both. The universe includes physical, chip-secured, framed artworks and, through the EcoDigital program we are developing alongside the Budapest launch, digital artworks shown on screens. The digital format is also framed, carries a QR code and chip-secured identification, and is registered in the Chip&Check system — so you will be able to join even if physical pieces aren’t practical for your space, or if you’d simply like to start digitally. Until EcoDigital is live, you can join the waiting list to be among the first to access it.

The Master is the source of the light; the digital experience is the river that carries that light forward.

Master artworks are physical pieces, exist in limited numbers with limited access per city, and carry strong collector and brand value. Digital displays present the artworks on framed screens, are in principle available to many more companies, and are part of the same mission — to build not only a better world, but a wiser one. For many companies the digital level is the first entry point, while the Masters represent the physical dimension they can grow into over time.

Yes. Every participating company gets its own online dashboard, where you can choose your CSR focus areas (for example child nutrition, ocean cleanup, drug prevention, human rights, animal welfare, or support for single parents), manage your visual identity (logo, message, campaign tagline), see which programs and levels you’re part of, and view basic statistics on your contribution and visibility. Connected to it is a public company page that opens when someone scans the QR code on your artwork, showing your logo, your message and the values you’ve chosen.

The artworks rotate every two months between participating companies, following a pre-planned route and schedule. Deliveries and installations are handled by our dedicated logistics partners and ambassador teams, designed to require minimal time and effort from you. In practice, your role is to provide a wall, coordinate the time for delivery and installation, and enjoy a continuously changing art presence in the office.

Every artwork is placed under a rental agreement with clear rules of responsibility. If damage goes beyond normal wear and tear — for example vandalism or serious physical damage — the company is responsible for the cost of reprinting or restoring the artwork, as stated in the contract. We use professional framing and production processes, so in normal office use the risk of damage is very low.

Because the system connects multiple countries, legal environments and cities, we use a single international working language — English — for contracts and core operations. At the same time, on each company’s public page, the storytelling and humanitarian blog posts can be translated into the local language, so employees understand in their own language what the company supports. In short: the legal and technical framework is English, while the storytelling and inspiration can be localised.

The program is in its launch phase, beginning with our first City of Light city. On the website you can follow the cities and programs that are launching, and as partners come on board we publish them — with their agreement — in an online catalogue.

The target structure for each City of Light location is 300 unique, numbered artworks placed at companies, shown in that catalogue. Where a company agrees, its artwork’s page can show which company is sponsoring the piece and where it is currently installed. As the first cities fill, this becomes both a transparency record and a source of inspiration for companies considering the program.

D. TECHNOLOGY, CHIPS, BLOCKCHAIN & COMPARISONS

We integrate chips (NFC, RFID, UHF) and unique holographic identifiers into our artworks, all authenticated via the Chip&Check platform. This means the piece on your wall is not just decoration but a technologically protected, numbered artwork. In practice, that gives your brand added prestige, security, and a powerful story: there is a real, traceable system behind the artwork.

Yes. Chip&Check Worldwide is not off-the-shelf software — it is our own solution to our own problem. While creating Mission of Humanity, and through earlier product-development work, we saw how serious the risk of counterfeiting can be for artworks, limited-edition products and high-value collectibles.

At first we wanted one simple thing: anyone standing in front of our artwork should be able to use a smartphone to check whether it’s the original.

That was the starting point of Chip&Check — and later we opened it up so that any brand, artist or manufacturer could use it as an authentication and anti-counterfeiting platform.

In our artworks we combine NFC, RFID and UHF chips, unique holographic UID labels, and cryptographic rolling-code chips. With rolling-code chips, the chip’s response cannot simply be copied: the security element changes dynamically, and the system only accepts pre-registered, original devices as authentic. The result is an authentication approach that makes our artworks — and any limited-edition product that integrates these chips — extremely difficult to forge.

It’s a different category. In a traditional setup, you buy a painting that hangs on your wall, or rent artworks that are occasionally swapped. In our model, up to 300 companies participate per size in each city — with large (140×80 cm) and medium (70×40 cm) pieces in rotation, optimised financially and logistically — and each artwork is chip-embedded, marked with a holographic UID, and documented on blockchain.

Art, technology, investment, CSR and record-scale ambition are fused into one integrated system. That’s why we don’t compare ourselves to classic galleries or simple corporate art-rental services.

Here we deal with physical artworks, linked to real, income-producing assets such as solar parks and real estate, and the model is not based on speculation. We are not minting tokens out of thin air; we offer tangible, chip-secured artworks backed by real-world value creation, where blockchain serves authentication and transparency — not short-term price gambling.

E. RISK, LONG-TERM, STRUCTURE

We designed the model to spread and reduce risk.

  • Market risk — each city has up to 300 participating companies per artwork size, with realistically affordable fees, so the system rests on a broad base rather than one large client.
  • Technology risk — we use several chip technologies (NFC, RFID, UHF, cryptographic chips) and our own Chip&Check Worldwide platform, with multi-layered blockchain presence focused on transparency and traceability.
  • Legal risk — in each country we use contract structures that comply with local law, with responsibilities (damage, payments, IP) clearly defined.
  • Reputational risk — humanitarian and environmental focus areas are chosen on carefully considered, long-term principles, and results are communicated through stories and reports.

The system itself — artworks on walls, rotations, cities linked together — is a continuously strengthening, record-scale project that naturally encourages long-term thinking and responsible behaviour from everyone involved.

Christina Black Edition is not just two individuals — it is backed by a multi-country corporate structure and team, with separate entities for different regions, local leaders and ambassador teams. Operations don’t live only in someone’s head; they live in documented principles and processes covering how investments are managed, how the humanitarian model operates, how the compound-interest approach is maintained, and how rotation, authentication and communication work. The system is designed to continue operating even if the founders, for any reason, step into the background.

The short answer: through structure and measurement. Regional subsidiaries manage operations locally; each city and region has ambassador teams handling rotations and relationships; ambassadors report to local leaders, and above them is central coordination with a global view. We designed the structure so we can measure participation, growth and results with clear statistics, then adjust, expand and launch new cities accordingly. The investment and reinvestment approach is defined at system level rather than left to ad-hoc decisions — which is how multi-year commitments are intended to remain realistic rather than short-lived campaign enthusiasm.

F. STORY, FOUNDERS, ART & MUSIC

We didn’t come up with this last week — we’ve always lived inside this way of thinking. Creativity, drawing, writing, music, product design and visual thinking, has always been a natural part of both our lives. The Christina Black Edition name and structure surfaced only in recent years, but the mindset behind it is much older.

The real turning point came around 2020, when we decided to build not just individual pieces or products but a complete ecosystem, where art, technology and long-term impact operate together as one system, using the principle of compound interest.

From 2016 we worked on a large international project where production was outsourced to external manufacturers. By 2020 it became clear that the risk of counterfeiting, and the responsibility tied to production, could become serious problems. We felt we couldn’t honestly take responsibility for a production chain we didn’t fully control, and we didn’t want to be part of a system where authenticity and quality might be compromised.

So we made a conscious decision to freeze that project — and from it came the intention to create artworks we direct and oversee ourselves, expressing the values we stand for in a protected, verifiable way.

As artists and as a couple, we decided the main project of our lives would be a system where art doesn’t end at the auction hammer, money doesn’t just sit in a bank account, and CSR is more than a ticked checkbox. For us, Christina Black Edition is not a campaign — it is a life strategy. If you join, you become a co-creator of this long-term story.

Not every artwork is an investment — but it can be. We aim to serve collectors and investors who want unique, limited, technologically protected artworks rather than only their next apartment or stock. We create pieces that exist in limited editions, have clearly traceable authenticity, and are linked to a long-term ecosystem where art becomes energy and money becomes impact.

We don’t promise “get rich quick,” and nothing here is financial advice or a guarantee of value. What we can say is that we have done everything within our control to give our works value-preserving and value-growing potential.

The foundation of the music is our own message and concept. The lyrics, poems and core ideas come from us — we write the sentences, stories and messages we want to deliver. From there, we define the mood, BPM and musical style, and use producers and technological tools (including AI where useful) to realise exactly the sound we imagine. For us, technology is a tool, not a replacement for the artist: the communication, message and concept start with us, and the music carries that forward.

We see our work as a system of communication channels: visual art speaks to the eyes and imagination, music speaks to emotion and rhythm, and text — poetry, lyrics, narration — speaks to conscious understanding.

A person shouldn’t just look at a piece, but actually feel something and understand something through it.

That’s why, for each artwork, song and series, we carefully connect a story, an emotional arc and a technological layer (chip, NFT), so the experience can work in several dimensions at once.
